In certain scenarios, when the macOS Client has been offline for an extended period, file and folder changes made after reconnecting to the internet may not synchronize immediately with the Web App. Synchronization resumes normally after restarting the macOS Client.
This issue only occurs following a longer offline period and does not affect real-time synchronization once the application has been restarted.
This behavior may occur if all of the following conditions are met:
The user is logged in to the macOS Client.
The user has edit permissions on a Share.
The Share is fully downloaded locally.
The device remains offline for approximately 30 minutes or longer.
Multiple file or folder actions are performed while offline (upload, move, rename, delete, etc.).
After reconnecting to the internet, new changes made in the macOS Client are not synced immediately to the Web App.
Some updates may appear after several minutes, while others take longer.
Changes made directly in the Web App continue to sync immediately to the macOS Client.
Restarting the macOS Client restores normal synchronization behavior.
Once offline changes are fully synchronized and the client is back online, all new actions performed in the macOS Client should sync immediately without requiring an application restart.
Restart the macOS Client. This fully restores normal synchronization behavior.
This issue is only observed after a prolonged offline period.
No data loss has been observed.
The behavior suggests the sync engine connection state may not fully reinitialize after reconnecting.
Our Development team is actively investigating this behavior.
