Issue Description

When working offline in the macOS Client, files that undergo both content updates and rename actions may not have all changes fully synchronized once the connection is restored.

This behavior only occurs when update and rename actions are mixed on the same file while the client is offline or temporarily unable to reach the server.

What Works as Expected

  • Files that are only updated while offline sync correctly

  • Files that are only renamed while offline sync correctly

What You May Notice

For files where updates and renames are alternated while offline:

  • File content updates are synced correctly

  • Rename changes may be missing in the Web App after reconnection

The same behavior can also occur if the server is temporarily unavailable, not only when the client is fully offline.

Expected Behavior

All offline actions, including both content updates and rename operations, should be fully synchronized once the connection is restored.

Current Status

Our Development team has identified this issue and is actively working on a fix. A resolution is planned for a future macOS Client update.

Recommended Workaround

Until this is resolved, we recommend:

  • Avoid mixing rename and content update actions on the same file while offline

  • If both actions are required, perform them while the client is fully online whenever possible
