Android: Subshare Folder Color Bug
When using the Android client, folders created inside a Subshare may incorrectly inherit the branded icon color from the parent Main Share, instead of showing the default folder color (black).
Steps to reproduce
- Log into the Android client using a user who has:
- Viewer rights to the Main Share
- Editor rights to the Subshare - Navigate to the Subshare from the Share list
- Create a folder inside the Subshare
- Observe the icon color of the newly created folder
- Remove the user from the Main Share using the Web Client
- Recheck the folder icon color in the Android client
Actual Behavior
- Folders inside the Subshare inherit the icon color of the Main Share if the user has access to both.
- This behavior persists even after removing the user from the Main Share.
Expected Behavior
- Folders inside the Subshare should display the default black icon, regardless of the color used in the parent Share.
Affected Environment
- Android 15
- RushFiles Android Client v5.3.0 and v5.3.1
Current Status
- This issue is acknowledged, being worked on, and will be resolved in the upcoming Android v5.4.0 release.
Work Around
- There is no direct workaround at the moment. The visual discrepancy does not impact folder functionality or access rights.
