With RushFiles, you have the option to give access to particular folders or files on your share to anybody by creating a Public Link.

✔    This way, you don't have to go through the user creation/invitation procedure to share some data.

✔    You don't have to worry about them accessing/editing other files or uploading new ones either, since a public link is Read-only.

✔    If you want to edit or find the URL of an already created public link, you can do that in the web client under the Links menu.

Here's an opened public link:

There are several ways to create public links:

1) Web client

✔    Login to the web client.

✔    Click on "Share List".

✔    Navigate to your folder or file.

✔    Right-click on the folder or file.

✔    Click on "Create public link".

✔    Fill out the popup.

✔    Type something in the "Personal message" text box, this will become the heading of the public link.

✔    You can set a password for this link. Check the "Enable password protection" option, and type the password into the "Password" field.

✔    You can also decide when the link should expire. Set the number of days under "Expiry date" to the desired amount.

✔    The URL of the public link will be shown. Send this to the person you want to share the files with.

2) Windows and Mac clients

✔    Make sure that your user is logged in to the client, and that the RushFiles drive is mounted.

✔    Navigate to your folder or file in Windows Explorer / Finder.

✔    Right-click the folder or file.

✔    Hover over the "RushFiles" menu and then on "Create link in clipboard" or "Send link in email".

✔    If you clicked on "Create link in clipboard", the URL is already saved in the clipboard. Just paste URL anywhere and send it to the person you want to share with.

✔    If you clicked on "Send link in email", you will be prompted to select your Email client. Once you've chosen one, you will find the link URL pasted into the message body of a new email.
