Setup a Mandrill account

To get started, you need to have a Mandrill account, if you don’t have an account you can create a free Mandrill

account at http://mandrill.com/signup

Generating the API key in Mandrill

For Cloud Drive to work with Mandrill you need to setup an API key in your Mandrill.

The API key is generated in Mandrill under settings (chose form menu at left side of screen) SMTP & API Info

Setting up the Mandrill API at reseller configurator

To link your Cloud Drive server with your Mandrill account you need to enter the API key to “My account” in your reseller configurator.

If you want to use our standard mails to be sent out, then only type in a service email.

! If you don’t follow the rest of the guide your system will not send mails after entering the Mandrill API key in reseller configurator.

Setup template in Mandrill

To send out mails you need to setup the standard mails as templates in Mandrill for the system to work.

In Mandrill you find the templates in the menu at the left ”Outbound” then chose “Templates” in the top menu

Click “+ Create a Template”

At left side you enter template info and template defaults.

Template name: If you create a new template, be sure you use the same template name as specified in the template list below.

From address: Your email sender

From name: Your sender name

Subject: Subject on email

At the right side you build and style the template.

In Mandrill you have 2 tabs for your template, one for the HTML and one for Text only.

Copy the HTML code from the .html template file into the HTML field and the text from the .txt template into the text field.

You can now start your redesign of the template, to have the information and look that suits your needs.

While working with the template, you can continuously see how your template looks like by clicking the "Preview and Test"

When you are done, click "Save Draft" then "Publish" and the template is ready for use.
