We have received reports and discovered a bug in the New Mac Client application where some of the shares cannot be viewed entirely on the new version of the client.
Example Behavior:
Reportedly, a few Mac users have experienced that some of their shares cannot be viewed entirely using the new Mac client 3.0.0/3.0.1. However, these shares work fine via the Web client and are indeed working as expected with the PC client, but the other way around for Mac users.
For example, User A has (4) four shares (i.e., File1, File2, File3, & File4), among these shares, only files 2, 3, & 4 are available for User B, and only files 3 & 4 are available for User C.
Issue Determination:
The issue occurs when the application is trying to retrieve the share information from the server and eventually gets interrupted at some point due to network connection issues.
The application will try to continue with the data retrieval. However, it commences from the wrong sequence which results in missing content locally.
Affected Item(s):
- Product: RushFiles Software
- Client: Mac
- Version: 3.0.0/3.0.1
Workaround:
1. The only workaround we are aware of at the moment is to have the Mac Users perform a Logout — Login to the client until all data is shown.
Please do not try to browse the RushFiles drive until the application notifies you that "All shares are caught up".
2. Use the older Mac client version in the interim.
Solution:
A hotfix will be released together with the new Mac client version 3.0.2.
Release Date:
To be announced.
We're truly sorry for the inconvenience.
